The Santa Anna Mountaineers will take on former district foe the May Tigers in the first game of 2016. The game will be at Mountaineer Stadium and starts at 7:30. May lost in the first round of the playoffs last year as did Santa Anna.
Pep Rally starts at 2:45 according to the Santa Anna ISD's website.

Hartman Reunion Held in Santa Anna
The 46th annual reunion of the descendants of I. E. and Reba Hartman was held at the Community Center in Santa Anna, Texas on Sat., July 16th. The only surviving daughter of the union present was Winnie Edean Blanscett of Midland, Texas.
Eddie Hartman opened the 2016 meeting. Minutes were read by Stephanie Edwards. The financial report was given by Mary Ann Hartman. The reunion has 2 CDs, and one was cashed to finance the 2016 reunion. At 12 noon, a meal of fried chicken with all the trimmings from Best Fried Chicken was served followed by delicious desserts from the ladies of the reunion. As usual, a contribution was given to the Santa Anna Cemetery Association in memory of loved ones resting there. During the reunion, a slide show of previous reunions played continuously for the groupís enjoyment courtesy of Carol and Dale Reeves. What wonderful memories!!!!
Honored guest was Dale Reeves, a cousin, from Austin, Texas. Stanley Hartman was unanimously appointed Director of Entertainment for the 2017 reunion. New Hartman Reunion Tee shirts were distributed to the group. A decision was made to keep the 2017 reunion at the Santa Anna Community on Sat., July 15th next year.
A report was given by Eddie about a trip he and Mary Ann took to Minden, Louisiana to research records on maternal grandmother, Reba Dee Hester Hartman.
A facial covering contest was held with the following winners: Mustache- Dale Reeves, Full Beard- Harry Walker, and Goatee- Fred Reeves.
Winners of the reunion quiz were Brenna Hartman, Hayden Hartman and James Hartman with Hayden winning the bonus question prize of a Scentsy pot with wax melts. Winners of the Candy Guessing game were Carol Reeves, Beth Hartman, Mary Ann Hartman, Mike Hartman, Scott Walker, Ron Hartman, Dale Reeves, Stan Hartman, Cindy Boyle, Stephanie Edwards, and Robin Bass. Winners of the Treasure Guessing game were Katie Hartman, Scott Walker, Robin Bass, Mike Hartman, and James Bass. Age contest winners were Stephanie Edwards, Winnie Blanscett, Baylin Mach, Ron Hartman, Jordan Mach, Scott Walker, Judy Hartman, Taunia Spain, Hayden Hartman, Byler Mach, James Hartman and Brenna Hartman.
Lastly, the annual White Elephant Auction was held with proceeds to fund the reunion for 2017. Scott Walker, Mike Hartman and James Hartman presided over the auction with a lot of bantering going on between them. The auction was a huge success.

Federal Programs Evaluation and Planning Meeting
Santa Anna ISD will be holding its annual Federal programs evaluation and planning meeting on Monday, August 15, 2016. The meeting will be conducted in the Santa Anna ISD Library at 5:30 p.m. Parents and community members are encouraged to attend. If you are unable to attend but would like to have input regarding these Federal Programs, please contact David Robinett at 325-348-3136.
Childrenís Internet Protection Act (CIPA) Public Notice
Santa Anna ISD will have a public meeting for Childrenís Internet Protection Act (CIPA) on Monday, August 15, 2016. The meeting will be conducted in the Santa Anna ISD Library at 5:30 p.m. Parents and community members are encouraged to attend. Santa Anna ISD is now accepting applications for:
Janitor position opening: Light maintenance, cleaning, delivering supplies, prepare schools for daily operation (including cleaning multiple bathrooms/classrooms), lift up to 30 pounds to be able to complete assigned tasks, must be able to go up/down ladders for changing light bulbs etc. Must be able to pass criminal history check, finger printing required.
